Unrelated cars for your time

I’ve heard it’s decent. Forgot to check it out at the auto show yesterday.

Most of the new Mazdas are good, so I’d imagine that the Scion IA is good aside from it’s catfish front end.

The iM starts at $19,500 though. Go for that!

Currently driving an Elantra GT as a rental car. Feels peppy, comfortable, and solidly constructed. Base with a manual is like $19k. The trim is pretty spartan, so you’re not getting any goodies. There are probably some better hatchbacks and crossovers at that price though.

The Base 2016 Civic seems like a decent deal, so that’s going to be my pick for the new car.
The Scion ia looks absolutely terrible up front, but the clear Altezza-ish tail lamps look decent enough. I with Mazda would just bring the 2 here with the hatch (and diesel too).

Probably a focus or fiesta. But used is always better, you can get a lot more for less. Maybe even CPO if your afraid about problems.

I’m worried about the iA. Toyota is making a big mistake by using a Mazda; their cars aren’t that good and rust like a Vega (which was probably designed by Mazda as well). Why not use the Vios? A REAL Toyota.
And fuck them for not offering a sunroof on the iM.

Fiesta. Maybe a 2015 ST still on the lot with incentives? Not exactly sure what they go for.

Then the Scion iA is a pretty good choice. Only problem is the front is kind of ugly, but it's got a lot of standard features for a great price.

Scion has weird priorities. They make a panoramic sunroof standard on the tC, yet they don’t offer a backup camera at all. Which is more important?

The base ‘16 Civic comes with stupid steel wheels and hubcaps, and overall looks cheap and dumb. The higher trim levels with “real” wheels look much, much better.

You can get a rental-car spec Mazda 3 for < $20k. Probably the best option. Unless you can find a VW dealer looking to dump a low-option Golf.

True. I didn’t think about that. However, for under 20k, the car itself, not the wheels count.
